I’d say always use this after your opponent’s first Link Summon since no matter what you are always guaranteed a +1 and nothing more or less, but you could wait till they put a second Link on the field but only if you are 100% certain they’ll make a second Link Play. Perfect for shuffling through your deck to craft your perfect hand, it’s better when there are multiple Links on the field, but it’s hard to call when your opponent may be done Link Summoning. If your opponent Special Summons a Link Monster, you can Special Summon this card from the hand and then draw cards equal to the number of Link Monsters on the field +1 and then put back cards from your hand into the deck equal to the number of Link Monsters on the field. I’ve seen far worse stats on Level 7s in my life, DARK and Dragon make for a good combination once again, especially in the Main Deck this time. Phantazmay is a Level 7 DARK Dragon with 2400 ATK and 1800 DEF. We end this week off with the most expensive card in Savage Strike, and arguably the best considering it has that price tag, Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay. Score: 4.5/5 Art: 5/5 Even if it didn’t look like Thanos, it would still look very cool. Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay is absolutely worth the price right now for its rarity and utility. I’m just really glad you can revive this and use the second effect regardless of its original summon. Sure it’s once per turn, but it’s a QuickEffect so if you have the resources use this to deal with targeting problems. While on the field, you can discard a card to negate and destroy a card or effect that targets a monster you control. Now the second effect is a lot of icing on a great cake. Especially when the conditions are so predominant in the meta right now. Similar to Saryuja, being able to fix your hand is what brings Phantazmay up in price. In essence, you get a monster on the field during either player’s turn and draw a card while shuffling something else back. Then you have to shuffle cards from your hand back into the deck equal to the number of Link Monsters they control. Then you have to draw cards equal to the number of Link Monsters they control plus 1. From the hand, in response to a Special Summon of a Link Monster being performed by your opponent, Phantazmay will Special Summon itself. (or many Level 8 Synchros) There are 2 great effects on Phantazmay that are a hard once per turn. I particularly like Level 7 because then a Level 1 Tuner could make Borreload Savage Dragon. I must say, I love everything about this card except the Atk should have been 100 points higher. Happy Fantastical Friday! Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay is a Level 7 Dark Dragon-type monster with 2400 Atk and 1800 Def. It doesn’t have the strongest defense, and reminds me of Dragon Ice, but much better. The way players tend to like to make big boards turn one can be punished by this card. You can force out an effect from your opponent and negate it, making them spend resources on their turn before you even draw. If that wasn’t enough, “Thanos Dragon” has a 1-for-1 quick effect to negate and destroy a card/effect that targets a monster(s) on the field. Getting to fix your hand before you even have a turn and off of your opponents plays, that puts you ahead without having to use your resources. Three link monsters? Draw four, cycle back three. Garnering at least $75 for one, this card can set the tone for a duel to go in your favor.Ī hand trap of sorts, Level 7 Dragon and DARK, you can drop this titan off a Link Summon of your opponents and benefit from a Skull Dread-like effect depending on the number of link monsters your opponent has. Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay or “Thanos Dragon” as it has come to be known, has become one of the most sought after cards in the game.
